Surfing has always been a means to exploration. It gets us out there, with our friends (or alone), to see and experience something that makes our blood pump. It's an excuse to go somewhere you maybe wouldn't normally make it to. Routinely it brings us to regions of the nearby coastline otherwise ignored. Other times, it stimulates further travel.
At the end of april FRESTcoast stabbed out to Nicaragua for some culture shock, bottomless plantains, to refresh our spanish, and paddle into the heavy swell Nica was getting hit with.
